This policy applies to all purchases made from M/S ALCOM COMPUTERS at our shop, through this website, our partner order portals, or our authorised representatives. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Indian law are not affected.
1. Hardware and IT products
- Cancellation: orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing them, as long as they have not been dispatched. After dispatch, the return rules below apply.
- Custom or special orders (for example assembled PCs or items ordered specially for you) cannot be cancelled once we have started processing them.
- Returns: unused items in their original sealed packaging, with all accessories and the invoice, may be returned within 7 days of delivery. A restocking fee of 10–15% may apply depending on the product.
- Not returnable: opened software, licence keys, consumables (ink, toner), items with broken seals, and products damaged after delivery.
- Damaged or defective on arrival: tell us within 48 hours of delivery with photos or a video. After checking, we will replace the item or refund it.
- After the return period, faults are handled under the manufacturer's warranty.
2. Domain names
- Domain registrations, renewals and transfers cannot be cancelled or refunded once submitted to the registry, because the registry fee is paid immediately.
- No refund is made for spelling mistakes or wrong domain choices. Please check carefully before ordering.
- If a registration fails on our side and cannot be completed, the full amount is refunded.
3. Website hosting, business email and backup services
- New hosting, email and backup plans can be cancelled within 7 days of activation for a refund of the plan fee, as long as the service has not been heavily used. Any domain, SSL certificate or setup fee bundled with the plan is not refundable.
- After 7 days, you may cancel at any time with 7 days' written notice. The service will run until the end of the paid period; no refund is made for the remaining period.
- Renewals are not refundable once processed.
- No refund is made for accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms or Acceptable Use rules.
4. SSL certificates and software licences
SSL certificates and software licences are non-refundable once issued or activated.
5. Web design, Web Studio and IT services
- An advance paid for design or development work is refundable only if no work has started.
- Once work has started, the advance covers the work completed and is not refundable. If the project is cancelled part-way, you pay for the work done to date.
- Completed and approved work is not refundable.
- Monthly support or subscription services can be cancelled before the next billing date; the current month is not refundable.
6. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email alcom@alcomhost.in or WhatsApp +91-9897830036 with your name, invoice or order number, the product or service, and the reason. We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days.
7. How refunds are paid
- Approved refunds are made to the original payment method (UPI or bank account) within 7–10 working days of approval.
- Shipping charges, payment gateway fees and third-party fees already paid are not refundable unless the error was ours.
- Where a part of a service has been used, refunds are calculated pro rata at our discretion.
