Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how M/S ALCOM COMPUTERS (“ALCOM”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit this website, create an account, contact us, or buy our products and services. We handle personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as they apply to us.

We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details — name, email address, mobile number and a securely hashed password when you register.
  • Enquiries — the details and message you send through our contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • Order and service details — billing name and address, business name, GST number (if given), domain registrant (WHOIS) details, and records of the products and services you buy.
  • Payment information — payment reference numbers and screenshots you send us. Card, UPI PIN and bank login details are handled by your bank or payment app; we never ask for or store them.
  • Technical data — your IP address and basic browser information, recorded in our security logs when you submit forms or log in.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and respond to your enquiries.
  • To provide, activate, renew and support the products and services you order.
  • To register domains, which requires sharing registrant details with registrars and registries as their rules require.
  • To send invoices, renewal reminders and important service notices.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and to keep our website and services secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • With your consent, to tell you about offers. You can opt out at any time.

3. Sharing your information

We share personal information only where needed:

  • Service providers who help us deliver services — such as domain registrars and registries, hosting and data-centre partners, business email and backup providers (including BackMeUp), and payment providers — only for that purpose.
  • Legal authorities when required by law, court order or a lawful government request, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
  • Business transfer — if our business is transferred, customer records may move to the new owner under the same protections.

Some providers may store data outside India. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected.

4. Cookies

This website uses one essential session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against misuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may record your IP address under Google's own privacy policy.

5. How long we keep information

We keep account and enquiry information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide services. Billing and tax records are kept for the period required by Indian law (generally up to 8 years). After that, information is deleted or anonymised.

6. How we protect information

Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes. Our data files are kept in a protected location on the server that cannot be opened from the web, and staff access is limited by role. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please use a strong, unique password.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • see and correct your personal information (most details can be changed from My account);
  • ask us to delete your account and personal information, unless we must keep it by law;
  • withdraw consent to marketing at any time;
  • raise a grievance with us, and if not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To make a request, email us from the address registered with your account.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without verifiable consent of a parent or guardian.
